Hindi Shayari – Wedding Gift

A Bollywood horror movie with a modern theme has made news. “Ner hindi like” literally means “neither side is right”, and this Hindi film revolves around the clash between the ideals of a happily married Indian bride and her soon to be ex-boyfriend. She wants to marry him, but he wants to divorce her on the grounds that she has not been faithful to him. The actress playing the character is played by Prem Chopra. She has not had a big success in Bollywood but her two films “Udaan” and “Chak De!” showed her true talent.

“Ner hindi like” means “neither right nor wrong”, and it shows the girl’s conflict between her moral and emotional values. The director feels that this film will have a great impact on the minds of Indian youth, and it will highlight the fact that it is not possible for the girl to get what she wants. She is aware of the fact that both the groom and the bride are deeply in love with each other, but she is worried that if she forces the issue, the groom may get angry. He is already deeply in love with her, so it would be an easy way out for him. The girl has to remain innocent throughout the marriage ceremony.

When the girl’s father (Koena Sheikh) comes to know about the marriage, he wants to get the law changed so that the marriage is legally valid. The girl has to marry him only if her mother (Sudhmi) agrees, and her sisters also are very supportive of her. Her father wants to protect her from the harshness of the Hindu society. He tells the girl’s mother that she should not get divorced till after she finishes college, so that she can still complete her education.

The movie revolves around the girl going to the house of the groom to get married, and meeting her deceased grandmother, who was the bridegroom’s grandmother. This is the reason why the girl gets very emotional the minute she enters the house. The groom and the girl then have to go through a lot of difficult moments, as there is a lot of hatred between them due to the fact that the girl’s grandmother tried to poison the groom to death.

The Hindi title of the film is something like “Nishchitar” (meaning “to unite”). Therefore, it can be assumed that it deals with love and unity. The character of the groom is described as a kind and loving uncle. But on the contrary, the girl is described as a cold and ruthless girl. The two characters never get along, and that is the theme of the whole film.

It must be remembered that in the olden days, weddings used to be very lavish, involving lots of pomp and show. It was a grand event in which lots of property and money were usually involved. That is the reason why the olden times always look backward in comparison with the present times, when weddings are much more affordable and simpler, involving a smaller and humongous celebration, with lesser expenditures.
